About Us

Quality Roofing Sales, Inc. was founded by Donald L. Kaiser and Robert R. Capen in January of 1985 as a supplier of commercial and residential roofing materials to contractors and dealers.

In March of 1987, Home Modernizer’s Supply, Inc., a distributor of commercial and residential roofing and residential siding and gutter materials, was merged into Quality Roofing Sales, Inc... Home Modernizer’s Supply, Inc. was owned by Donald L. Kaiser and Loren D. Kaiser.

The resulting corporation continued to be called Quality Roofing Sales, Inc. and was owned by Robert R. Capen, Donald L. Kaiser and Loren D. Kaiser. In February of 1993 the name of the corporation was changed to Quality Building Products, Inc... This name more accurately reflects the wide range of exterior building products handled by the corporation.

In September of 1996, Quality Building Products, Inc. moved to its current location which would allow for the business to function more efficiently, and more importantly, which would allow for future growth. This new facility allowed for the creation of a showroom that would better display the many products we distribute.

With the steady growth of the 90’s, Quality Building Products, Inc. decided it was time to expand its business into new markets. In 2004, with the assistance of our new partners Charles D. Capen and James R. Flavin, QBP Building Products, Inc. was opened in Itasca, IL. The 45,000 square foot, state of the art facility, is perfectly suited to give our customers the best in roofing materials. Chuck and Jim have over 25 years of experience with the roofing industry and are committed, as are all our employees, to delivering the same great service and products that we have become known for.
